Dimplex Ignite Bold Built-in 50″ Linear Electric Fireplace (XLF5017-XD)

Dimplex Ignite Bold Built-in 50″ Linear Electric Fireplace is a versatile linear electric fireplace designed for both indoor and outdoor installations, bringing lifelike flames and on-demand supplemental heat to living rooms, patios, and entertainment spaces. Built for maximum design flexibility, it offers four installation configurations in one unit: front-facing, right-corner, left-corner, and bay-style. Simply remove the side panels to match your layout and create a clean, modern focal point.

Ignite Bold features Dimplex patented flame technology with a multi-layered color effect that adds depth for a more traditional fire look in any setting. You can choose from 7 flame theme options, including blue, orange, neutral, and several neutral variations with blue and/or orange accents, and fine-tune the atmosphere further with 5 flame speed settings. The experience is enhanced by a bold, stylish multi-media bed that combines small and large acrylic crystals with natural-looking driftwood, plus 5 media color options (white, blue, violet, red, green). With 5 1/2″ (14 cm) of viewing depth and a tall 16.1″ (41 cm) high viewing area, it creates a larger, more immersive presentation, supported by a patented mirror effect that boosts the illusion of depth.

For lighting and mood, you can switch between 3 media modes: Prism (media and overhead lights cycle together), Kaleidoscope (media and overhead lights cycle at different rates), and Midnight mode (lights off). Heat performance is provided by Dimplex Comfort$aver heater for efficient, supplemental warmth in spaces up to 1,000 sq. ft., and you can enjoy the flames year-round by turning the heater off in warmer months. Since the flames do not emit heat, the front glass stays cool to the touch for added safety around children and pets.

Control is easy through the Flame Connect app for expanded customization from your phone, and the unit includes integrated smart self-diagnostic technology that displays error codes to help service teams troubleshoot and order parts. For larger builds, an optional linking kit (XLFXDLINK) lets you connect multiple units for a dramatic, modular installation. Warranty coverage is 5-year limited for indoor use and 1-year limited for outdoor use.
